1. Information We Collect

Location Data: We collect your precise GPS location, including latitude, longitude, accuracy, and speed, continuously while location tracking is active. Location data is collected in the background to track freight deliveries.

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your phone number, the name you provide, and the carrier name and MC number associated with your account.

Support Messages: When you contact us through the in-app support chat, we store the messages and any images or files you choose to attach.

Device & App Data: We collect your device's push notification token to send you notifications about load assignments and account status. We also collect general usage data to operate the App.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide and operate the freight tracking service
• Match you to the loads assigned to your carrier account
• Send push notifications and SMS messages about load assignments and account updates
• Provide customer support through our in-app chat system
• Maintain the security of your account
• Comply with applicable laws and regulations

3. Third-Party Service Providers

Expo (Notifications): Your device push token is processed through Expo's notification infrastructure to deliver push notifications to your device.

Twilio (SMS): When a load is assigned to you, we may share your phone number with Twilio to deliver an SMS with your tracking link.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Data Retention

• Location history is retained for 90 days, then automatically deleted
• Account information is retained until you delete your account
• Support chat history is retained for 2 years
• Load assignment and delivery-tracking records (such as the carrier phone number, MC number, and delivery status associated with a load) may be retained as part of our business and dispatch records after your account is deleted, but will no longer be linked to your driver account or login

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time from the Profile screen, or without signing in at https://id.bvbconnect.com/delete-account. Upon deletion, your personal data will be permanently removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or described above.

5. Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

Right to Know: You have the right to request information about the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.

Right to Delete: You have the right to request deletion of your personal information. You can exercise this right directly within the App by tapping "Delete Account" on the Profile screen, or without signing in at https://id.bvbconnect.com/delete-account.

Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

No Sale of Data: We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted storage of authentication credentials and secure HTTPS transmission. Despite these measures, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for use by individuals 18 years of age or older who hold a valid commercial driver's license. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will delete their account.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
